Brand New Destinations from our Fall Travel Show

On October 7th we held our Fall Travel Show virtually for the second year in a row. While it’s not the same as seeing you all in person, we were excited to share more information on our upcoming tours for 2021 and 2022. Kerrie, Fraser, and Roland offered some insights into our wide array of upcoming local and international itineraries. Due to some technical issues with our teleconference service provider not everyone who registered was able to attend. We apologize if you were unable to join us live, but don’t panic because the presentation was recorded, and you can view it here.

With the world reopening we are excited to get back to exploring close to home and around the globe. During the presentation we discussed our upcoming holiday tours, a few local winter getaways, some exciting spring theatre tours, and many more tours farther afield. Travel regulations and advisories are still changing day-to-day so we appreciate your patience as we navigate these challenges. We are committed to following the highest safety standards and selecting travel suppliers and partners who are doing the same. We are also requiring that all travellers be fully vaccinated to join any of our tours. As you may be aware, the U.S. land border is scheduled to re-open to fully vaccinated travellers on November 8th and we are currently investigating the possibility of resuming our US tours this fall. So stay tuned!

At the end of the presentation we held a draw for three travel vouchers valued at $200, $100, and $50. Everyone who registered to attend was entered to win. Our lucky winners were Wayne Friesen, Marnie Bradfield, and Rikki Bowman. Congratulations to all three of you!

Brand New Itineraries

Several of the itineraries we highlighted during the Travel Show are brand new for us. Take a look at these three brand new tours and hopefully you’ll be as excited about them as we are! They are all sure to book up quickly, so give us a call if you’re interested.

D-Day at Juno Beach – May 31, 2022 (14 days)

D-Day was the the largest seaborne invasion in history and began the liberation of France and laid the foundations of the Allied victory on the Western Front. Canadians played a vital role in these events and are remembered at many key sites. In this tour we will explore the museums, memorials, cemeteries, and historic sites connected with Canada’s involvement in D-Day as we travel from Juno and Omaha Beaches to Dieppe and into Belgium, Netherlands, and Germany. We will also participate in the 78th Anniversary commemoration of D-Day at Juno Beach. Our guide for this tour is Steve Roberts, an expert in Canadian war history. He accompanied our 2018 tour to Vimy for the 100th Anniversary of the end of World War I and we are very lucky to have him join us again.

Croatia by Land and Sea – August 30, 2022 (17 days)

Spellbinding beaches, dramatic cliffs, ancient walled towns, and a relaxed way of life — Croatia is ranked among the world’s most popular destinations for a reason! We start with 2½ days in historic Dubrovnik, the “Pearl of the Adriatic”. Its picturesque Old Town is considered to be one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with centuries-old forts, marble streets, and dazzling views of the cliffs and the sea. We then board the small ship MV Admiral for a week-long cruise, visiting the seaside coastal towns of Ston, Korčula, Hvar, and Split, and the Adriatic islands of Mljet, Vis, Bisevo, and Brac. This lovely intimate ship has only 20 staterooms. We finish the tour back on land where we visit Zadar, Pag Island, the waterfalls of Plitvice Lakes National Park, and Croatia’s capital of Zagreb.
