We’re counting down the days until Christmas and hopefully you’ve already finished most of your shopping. Since we can’t be out exploring the world on our own, reading about it is the next best thing. There are so many fantastic travel magazines to choose from. We like Travel and Leisure, National Geographic, Condé Nast Traveler, and AFAR. Or you could gift them an Apple News+ subscription for $12.99/month and they could enjoy these four magazines plus over 200 others on their apple device.
A Guidebook for Trips in Their Own Backyard
Since we don’t know when international travel might be a possibility, why not plan some trips closer to home. These two Canadian guidebooks have some great suggestions for things that are off the beaten track but still within our own country.

Jump in the car, turn up the tunes, and hit the road!
Kindle Paperwhite
If you can’t choose just one book, you can still give the bibliophile on your list the gift of reading with the latest Kindle e-reader. This version is light, waterproof (hello fellow bath readers!) and allows you to read in any light, even bright sunlight. This gift will be useful now when we’re spending more time at home reading but will also come in handy when we’re ready to get back on the road. Bring as many books as you want without worrying if they’ll fit in your suitcase.
