Travel Tips … Activity Levels

There is a whole vocabulary out there among tour operators for travellers to interpret when shopping for a tour regarding the type of activity required, and it can be quite confusing.

At Wells Gray Tours we cater to travellers primarily 50 plus and realize that not everyone enjoys the same levels of activity, regardless of their age.  With that in mind all our tours include activity level icons and an explanation to assist you in determining the tour that is best suited for you.

We want to ensure that each and every customer is comfortable with the activity requirements on our tours so that they get the most out of their experience.  It is no fun booking a tour that is travelling to a destination that requires a lot of walking on uneven ground or includes an abundance of stairs to see the local sites, when you are not capable of participating.  Group travel is all about creating memories with others and sharing your adventure as it unfolds with friends and getting left behind should not be part of the experience.

When selecting a tour take a look at the activity level icon at the top right hand of the itinerary and read carefully the requirements in the “Tour Policy” section to ensure the tour is right for you.

This tour is not appropriate for people with canes or walkers.

Please note that for the Activity Level 3 we will require that you sign a letter stating you understand the activity requirements.  As this tour involves a much higher level of activity it is important for your comfort and the comfort of your travel companions that everyone is able to participate.

Should you have any questions about a particular tour please call your local office.   We wish you a safe and comfortable travel experience on all our tours.
