Joan has been part of the Wells Gray Tours family since 2009. Formerly our Director of Sales & Marketing, she now enjoys semi-retirement while continuing to contribute as a part-time Marketing Consultant and writing our radio commercials. Joan brings decades of tourism experience, having previously managed the Kelowna Visitor Information Centre and served as Inbound Sales Manager for group and travel agents at Tourism Kelowna. She has also held leadership roles with the National Tour Association (NTA), including Director and Executive Board Member. Joan is passionate about connecting with our travellers and loves hearing how Wells Gray Tours has helped make their travel dreams a reality. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, skiing, and spending time with her greatest passion—riding her beautiful horse, Niko.

Favourite travel destinations: Joan says “Each destination is unique and offers different experiences, however it is the people I meet and the friends I have made that are my favorite part of any tour. I love collecting recipes from different places and sharing them with friends.”
