Experience the winter beauty of Banff and the Kootenays while indulging in one of the region’s greatest pleasures: soaking in mineral-rich hot springs surrounded by snow-covered mountains. Late February is a beautiful time to visit, when the landscape is transformed into a winter wonderland and the contrast of steaming outdoor pools and snowy scenery is nothing short of magical. You’ll visit five spectacular hot springs, including Banff Upper, Fairmont, Radium, Ainsworth, and Halcyon, with the added luxury of staying beside the pools at Fairmont for one night and Ainsworth for two nights. We last enjoyed a dip in Halcyon Hot Springs nearly 20 years ago, making this a wonderful opportunity to return and experience its relaxing waters once again. Just bring your bathing suit and prepare to slow down, soak up the scenery, and truly relax.

Light Activity: You are a traveller who prefers to see places without a lot of physical activity. You can climb a flight of stairs, board a coach, stand for short periods and walk at a leisurely pace with breaks for up to 30 minutes without difficulty or assistance. You may need to handle your own luggage at some hotels if luggage service is not available.
You may bring a walker or cane to support your mobility. Please let us know when you book if you will be bringing a walker on this tour. The coach cannot carry a scooter or motorized wheelchair. The tour director and driver have many responsibilities, so please do not expect them, or your fellow travellers, to provide ongoing assistance. If you are not capable of keeping up with the group or require frequent assistance, the tour director may stop you from participating in some activities or some days of the tour.

Luggage handling: Luggage handling may take an hour after the coach arrives at Fairmont and Ainsworth. If you want to get into the hot pools quickly, we suggest packing your bathing suit in your carry-on bag.

Food Allergies: You must notify us no later than at final payment if you have a food allergy. This tour goes to some remote places where restaurants may not be able to satisfy all food allergies. An allergy causes medical distress, a preference does not. For some allergies, please consider bringing your own snacks or food items so you are not dependent on what restaurants are able to serve.

Payments: A deposit of $200 per person is requested at the time of booking and balance is due January 7, 2027. By paying the deposit, you agree to the Terms and Conditions, Company Policies, Activity Level, and Cancellation Policy outlined. Payments can be made by online banking or cheque (3% discount on tour fare), or by Visa or Mastercard.

Early Booking Bonus: Receive a $150 discount on the first 12 seats and $75 on the next 8 seats for booking early with deposit. The discount is not offered after January 7, 2027.

Cancellation Policy: Up to December 7, 2026, the cancellation charge is $50 per person. • From December 8, 2026 to January 7, 2027, the cancellation charge is $100 per person. • From January 8 to January 21, the cancellation charge is 50% of the tour fare. • After January 21, there is no refund.

Travel Insurance: A Comprehensive Insurance policy is available through Wells Gray Tours and coverage is provided by battleface® Travel Insurance. Policies purchased at deposit include a waiver of the preexisting condition clause for medical and cancellation claims, otherwise policies can be purchased no later than at final payment. This tour stays in Canada, but medical costs can vary a lot from one province to another. While your BC Services Card may partly cover you for a medical issue that arises during the tour, you will probably benefit from trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage in case of illness or a mishap before or during the tour. Many other benefits such as luggage insurance are included. Medical questionnaire is not needed. Please contact us for details. If you have your own travel insurance, please read the policy carefully to be sure that you are adequately covered for medical, cancellation, interruption, and luggage. Insurance premiums are not refundable whether or not you make a claim.
