TOUR SUMMARY
Mystery Tour
This is Wells Gray Tours’ 63rd Mystery Tour since 1985 and the 41st year. The first Mystery Tour was only three days and travelled to Whistler. During these 41 years of Mystery Tours, they have been offered once or twice a year and have taken curious customers to destinations all over Canada, the USA, and even Iceland and Costa Rica. We never tell you where you will go or what you will see. You may be amazed when the coach pulls up beside a cruise ship or a train, or you look at your boarding pass for the flight destination, or you arrive at a unique hotel. The 2026 spring Mystery Tour was an idea that came to Fraser Neave while travelling on a familiarization tour sponsored by a tourism organization, and he figured it would be a really interesting Mystery. You will travel by planes, a motorcoach, and two other Methods. Add a castle, a famous river, waterfalls, and fine cuisine to get a very special tour experience. Enough hints for now!!

ACTIVITY LEVEL
Level
Moderate Activity: As a traveller you like a variety of activities and walking up to 2 km with breaks such as a guided walking tour is very doable for you without assistance. You can stand for prolonged periods and can climb two flights of stairs without assistance. Please be aware that on tours with flights you must handle your own luggage and walk longer distances in airports. You may need to carry your own luggage at a hotel if luggage service is not available.
You may bring a cane or walking poles if needed, but a walker is not appropriate. The coaches cannot carry a scooter or motorized wheelchair. The tour director and driver have many responsibilities, so please do not expect them, or your fellow travellers, to provide ongoing assistance. If you are not capable of keeping up with the group or require frequent assistance, the tour director may stop you from participating in some activities or some days of the tour.
Tour Size
This tour is limited to 30 participants, making it a more intimate travel experience.

Tour Clues: 1. Let the bells ring out and banners fly to celebrate a student’s fine mark. 2. Black is at both ends, but a melodic blue lies in between. 3. A new orchard blossoms beside a musical river, beneath Peter’s mighty fortress. 4. I soar the sky on endless thread and beneath me glows a golden pine. 5. My shape is love, but not for two. Tongues mingle where coffee brews beneath five rings. They say the vodka was better 50 years ago. 6. Next to ancient stones, a single spark was the first of millions while a tide of iron swept past. 7. Defiant under battlements and remote ocean voyages, noble is the King. Tip: Hide 3-letter words.
-
Clue #1 Answer: Please submit your answer to Clue #1 a week before departure. Send to the office or travel agency where you booked.
-

-
New Itinerary: Wells Gray Tours has never previously offered this itinerary and never stayed at any of these hotels.
-
Transportation: You will travel by airplanes, a motorcoach, and two other forms of transportation.
-
Tour Director: Roland Neave, owner of Wells Gray Tours and creator of our Mystery Tours, is planning to be your tour director.
-
Attire: A letter about suggested attire plus packing and travelling tips will be provided at final payment.
-
Payments: A deposit of $800 per person is requested at the time of booking and the balance is due January 29, 2026. By paying the deposit, you agree to the Terms & Conditions, Activity Level and Cancellation Policy outlined. Payments can be made by online banking or cheque (3% discount on tour fare), or by Visa or Mastercard.
-
Cancellation Policy: Up to December 19, 2025, the cancellation charge is $100 per person. From December 20, 2025 to January 29, 2026, the cancellation charge is $400 per person. -
Fare Changes: Changes to taxes and surcharges from tour suppliers can occur at any time and are beyond the control of Wells Gray Tours, therefore, we reserve the right to increase fares due to such changes up until the time of departure. The itinerary could change before or during the tour, but since this is a Mystery Tour, you won’t know if we had to change something!
-
Flight seating: We are unable to take requests for window or aisle seating on the planes. The airline will not accept them, as group seating is assigned as a block.
-
Flight upgrades: Please enquire about current prices for upgrades on the flights. Premium economy and business class may be available.
-
Flight delays or cancellations: In the event flights are delayed or cancelled by airlines due to weather or other reasons, there may be additional costs to you. Wells Gray Tours will not pay for hotel rooms and meals during the delay. Check that your travel insurance policy has a flight delay benefit because that is usually your best recourse for recouping additional flight or hotel costs.
-
Food Allergies: You must notify us no later than at final payment if you have a food allergy. This tour goes to some remote places where restaurants may not be able to satisfy all food allergies. An allergy causes medical distress, a preference does not. For some allergies, please consider bringing your own snacks or food items so you are not dependent on what restaurants are able to serve.
-
Travel Insurance: A Comprehensive Insurance policy is available through Wells Gray Tours and coverage is provided by Travel Guard. Policies purchased at deposit include a waiver of the pre-existing condition clause for medical and cancellation claims, otherwise policies can be purchased no later than at final payment. Medical questionnaire is not needed. Please contact us for details. If you have your own travel insurance, please read the policy carefully to be sure that you are adequately covered for medical, cancellation, interruption, and luggage. Please do not travel without medical insurance as a minimum.
