TOUR SUMMARY

Harrison Hot Springs, Duffey Lake Road & Whistler

In 1966, the Garibaldi Lift Company opened its ski area on Whistler Mountain. Blackcomb Mountain opened in 1980, and Whistler Village was built at the base of these adjacent mountains. Its growth into an awardwinning, international resort is unparalleled in ski history. The Village was carefully designed to reap the benefits of the Coast Mountains’ excellent geographical location, emphasizing sun exposure and mountain vistas. During our stay in Whistler, we explore the Squamish Lil’Wat Cultural Centre and ride the gondola to the top of Whistler Mountain. We stay two nights at the Delta Whistler Village where your suite gives plenty of space to relax. This tour also stays at Harrison Hot Springs with an evening of music and dancing in the Copper Room. Add a drive through the Fraser Canyon with the Hell’s Gate Airtram and the scenic Duffey Lake Road and you have a wonderful short getaway.

TOUR NOTES & POLICIES

  • WHISTLER — A YEAR-ROUND RESORT: In 1966, the Garibaldi Lift Company opened its ski area on the west side of Whistler Mountain. The development of Whistler Resort just 14 years later, and its successive growth into an award-winning, international resort, is unparalleled in ski history. To complement Whistler Mountain, Blackcomb Mountain opened in 1980, and Whistler Village was built at the base of these adjacent mountains. The Village was carefully designed to reap the benefits of the Coast Mountains’ excellent geographical location, emphasizing sun exposure and mountain vistas. The Fairmont Chateau Whistler opened its doors in 1989 which confirmed the resort’s worldclass reputation, then other top-notch hotels followed. Over two million people visit Whistler annually, primarily for alpine skiing and snowboarding and, in summer, mountain biking. Its pedestrian village has won numerous design awards and Whistler has been voted among the top destinations in North America by major ski magazines since the mid-1990s. During the 2010 Winter Olympics, Whistler hosted most of the alpine, Nordic, luge, skeleton, and bob-sled events. This tour stays two nights at Delta Whistler Village Suites which has an excellent location on the village square with dozens of restaurants within walking distance. Your room is a spacious suite with living room and one bedroom for singles or two bedrooms for doubles or twins.

  • Payments: A deposit of $200 per person is requested at the time of booking and balance is due March 17, 2026. By paying the deposit, you agree to the Terms & Conditions, Activity Level and Cancellation Policy outlined. Payments can be made by online banking or cheque (3% discount on tour fare), or by Visa or Mastercard.

  • Early Booking Bonus: Receive a $100 discount on the first 15 seats and $50 on the next 10 seats for booking early with deposit. The discount is not offered after March 17, 2026.

  • V BC Seniors (65 & over): $34 discount offered by BC Ferries. Please bring your BC Services Card on the tour.

  • Cancellation Policy: Up to February 17, 2026, your tour payments will be refunded less an administrative charge of $100 per person. From February 18 to March 17, the cancellation charge is $200 per person (your deposit). From March 18 to April 17, the cancellation charge is 60% of the tour fare. After April 17, there is no refund.

  • Itinerary and Fare Changes: Our many suppliers may notify us about changes to the itinerary prior to departure and sometimes during the tour. We do our best to substitute a similar service if something cancels, but occasionally the only alternative is to provide a refund for the missed activity. Please note that if we are forced to cancel a tour component due to an issue beyond our control, the current penalties still apply if you choose to cancel the entire tour. Fuel surcharges and changes to taxes or other tour costs can occur at any time, therefore Wells Gray Tours reserves the right to increase fares due to such changes up to departure.

  • Travel Insurance: A Comprehensive Insurance policy is available through Wells Gray Tours and coverage is provided by Travel Guard. Policies purchased at deposit include a waiver of the pre-existing condition clause for medical and cancellation claims, otherwise policies can be purchased no later than at final payment. This tour stays in British Columbia. While your BC Services Card may cover you for a medical issue that arises during the tour, you will probably benefit from trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage in case of illness or a mishap before or during the tour. Many other benefits such as luggage insurance are included. Medical questionnaire is not needed. Please contact us for details. If you have your own travel insurance, please read the policy carefully to be sure that you are adequately covered for cancellation, interruption, and luggage.

  • Food Allergies: You must notify us no later than at final payment if you have a food allergy. An allergy causes medical distress, a preference does not. For some allergies, please consider bringing your own snacks or food items so you are not dependent on what restaurants are able to serve.

  • Experience Points or E-points: This tour earns 43 e-points. Each time you travel on a Wells Gray tour, you earn e-points that are added to your account after the tour returns. One e-point equals $1. Redeem your earned points on select tours or accumulate enough points to earn a free tour! Redemptions offered until March 17, 2026.
