Light Activity: You are a traveller who prefers to see places without a lot of physical activity. You can climb a flight of stairs, board a coach, stand for short periods, and walk at a leisurely pace with breaks for up to 30 minutes without difficulty or assistance. There may be some stairs to and from your theatre seats. You may need to handle your own luggage at the hotel if luggage service is not available.

You may bring a walker or cane to support your mobility. Please let us know when you book if you will be bringing a walker on this tour. The coach cannot carry a scooter or motorized wheelchair. The tour director and driver have many responsibilities, so please do not expect them, or your fellow travellers, to provide ongoing assistance. If you are not capable of keeping up with the group or require frequent assistance, the tour director may stop you from participating in some activities or some days of the tour.

TOUR NOTES & POLICIES

  • HAMILTON — A BROADWAY BLOCKBUSTER RETURNING TO VANCOUVER: Hamilton opened on Broadway in 2015. It had a multimillion-dollar advance in ticket sales, reportedly taking in $30 million before its official opening. It received a record-setting 16 Tony nominations and won 11, including Best Musical. It also won the 2016 Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album and the 2016 Pulitzer Prize for Drama. In November 2016, Hamilton broke the record for the highest box office sales in a ITINERARY Hamilton week at $3.3 million. Hamilton is still playing on Broadway and in many theatres around the world, and an estimated 28 million people have seen the show. Hamilton is a sung- and rapped-through musical written by Lin-Manuel Miranda about the life of American Founding Father, Alexander Hamilton. He was an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington's right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and was the new nation’s first Treasury Secretary. Featuring a score that blends hip-hop, jazz, blues, rap, R&B, and Broadway, Hamilton has achieved both critical acclaim and incredible box office success. Miranda has described Hamilton as "America then, as told by America now". We have excellent seating in Right and Left Centre Orchestra, rows 10, 12, 13, 17, 18, and 19.

  • SHIRLEY VALENTINE: Shirley had the world at her fingertips. Then she got married. Now, at 42 and with her children all grown up, she’s lost, stuck, and longing for another shot at life. A surprise trip to Greece with her best friend might be just what she needs… if she can only untether herself and take the leap of a lifetime. Come with Shirley on her great adventure as she finds joy, excitement, love, and, most importantly, herself.

  • Theatre seat assignments: Seats for both shows are assigned according to the date you booked the tour.

  • Show cancellation: It rarely happens, but performers occasionally get sick, or some mishap causes the cancellation of a show. This can occur even shortly before the performance begins. We know that this would be disappointing for our customers, but the only refund we would be able to obtain for you would be the actual ticket price of the show. The hotel, motorcoach, and other tour services are all prepaid and are nonrefundable at short notice.

  • Food Allergies: You must notify us no later than at final payment if you have a food allergy. An allergy causes medical distress, a preference does not. For some allergies, please consider bringing your own snacks or food items so you are not dependent on what restaurants are able to serve.

  • Payments: A deposit of $200 per person is requested at the time of booking and balance is due March 23, 2027. By paying the deposit, you agree to the Terms and Conditions, Company Policies, Activity Level, and Cancellation Policy outlined. Payments can be made by online banking or cheque (3% discount on tour fare), or by Visa or Mastercard.

  • Early Booking Bonus: Receive $100 discount on the first 15 seats and $50 on the next 10 seats for booking early with deposit. The discount is not offered after March 23, 2027.

  • Cancellation Policy: •Up to February 23, 2027, the cancellation charge is $100 per person. • From February 24 to March 23, the cancellation charge is $200 per person (your deposit). • From March 24 to April 22, the cancellation charge is 60% of the tour fare. • After April 22, there is no refund.

  • Travel Insurance: A Comprehensive Insurance policy is available through Wells Gray Tours and coverage is provided by battleface® travel insurance. Policies purchased at deposit include a waiver of the preexisting condition clause for medical and cancellation claims, otherwise policies can be purchased no later than at final payment. This tour stays in British Columbia. While your BC Services Card may cover you for a medical issue that arises during the tour, you will probably benefit from trip cancellation and trip interruption coverage in case of illness or a mishap before or during the tour. Many other benefits such as luggage insurance are included. Medical questionnaire is not needed. Please contact us for details. If you have your own travel insurance, please read the policy carefully to be sure that you are adequately covered for cancellation, interruption, and luggage. Note that the insurance premium is not refundable when you make a claim.
